Doproct ointment is used for treatment of pain, itchiness and inflammation caused by the irritation in the anal such as Hemorrhoids,
fissures and postoperative haemorrhoid removal.

How to use Doproct Ointment

Apply a small amount of doproct ointment for hemorrhoids once in the morning and once in the evening (after
bowel movement) everyday to the anal canal.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to apply the ointment and skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose of ointment

How Doproct Ointment works

This medicine contains three active ingredients that help to ease itchiness and thus allowing healing of the condition . This is how they work :

• Hydrocortisone is categorize under a group of corticosteroids. It has the properties of anti-inflammatory and anti-itching.
• Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that are used to block the sensory nerve endings in the skin.
• Zinc oxide is used for soothing and protect against haemorrhoids.

The other inactive ingredient of this ointments are Purified water, mineral oil, glycerin, lactic acid, isopropyl myristate, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, and emulgade 1000 Ni T.

Side effects
All medicines can have side effects. Doproct Ointment may  sometimes cause unwanted side effects although not everybody gets them.

The most commons are :

•  Dry skin
•  Itching
•  Irritation
•  Transient burning or stinging sensations
